Merijn VerhelstMerijn Verhelst
A self-taught Belgian artist based in Brussels, Merijn Verhelst makes work that is at once playful and naïvely melancholic. His paintings and sculptural works move between humour, awkwardness and the scatological, using an apparently simple visual language to produce something more emotionally charged.
