Design & Desire - down the rabbit hole
David Poole and Dasha Selyanova of dp3.0 brought together twelve Belgium-based artists, designers and creatives whose work interrogates, subverts or engages with the relationship between creativity and the systems of consumption and communication that both sustain and distort it, positioning the exhibition as a critical reflection on contemporary creative systems.
What unites these creatives is a human force that resists easy categorisation. In their works, the real becomes uncanny and unstable, function slips into fantasy and vice versa, and nature becomes performative, echoing our desires back to us.
